Glass Kodak Beaker

I was 15 when I developed my first photograph.   

It was an absolute marvel  to see the image appear by the precise formula of chemical magic I’d carefully mixed; an image I’d taken, with my first camera, with the first roll of film I’d fumblingly yet successfully processed  in total darkness. 

I exited that adolescent  1975 murkiness into the light of a life journey. 

The beaker harkens back to that time of discovery that put me on the path to today.  I still have the large Kodak beaker and the trays those first prints were made in. 

If I had never picked up that temperature controlled beaker containing Kodak D-76 (20 degrees Celsius !!)  it would have changed the trajectory of my life and I would have never met you.
